In Memoriam:

Mr Arthur John Sly 22/05/1934 - 3/04/2019

Arthur was a founding partner of CS Bookbinders, established in 1977 and first traded from a small shop in Ormond Arcade.  He suggested a name change to Law Bindery to define a target market.  After Law Bindery incorporated, it purchased J&L White P/L in 1987 which introduced printing into the business and became Whites Law Bindery of today.

Mr Sly was a prominent character in Melbourne's LGBT community for over 70 years and took the name of Alice.  He also held senior managerial positions with Kodak, helping to design the factory at both Abbotsford and Coburg.  He sold his investment in Whites Law Bindery P/L in 1998 and devoted himself to his investments, gardening and travel between his residences in Melbourne, Noosa, and New York.
